Relationships are important to me because it gives me meaning to life. Without these people I would be alone and have no one to share my life with. The two people that I spend the most time with now are my fiancé and my firstborn Mackenzie. These two are my world. There are not any words that can explain the love that I have for my child. I now look at love from so many perspectives, I am a stronger person because of her. Antoine is my fiancé and I can say without him stepping in and taking care of a child that did he did not father means a great deal to me and it is commendable. Without him my child would not have male figure in her life and for that I am grateful. My stepdad was the man who raised me and I am happy to have had him in my life, I am just even more ecstatic about the fact that my daughter has the same.

Other positive relationships that I have are with my mother and sister. Those are not always positive and take great deal of work. From not being heard, to being ignored. for the most part I feel that I am the middle person since my grandmother has passed. My child seems to be the glue that holds everyone together, she is the reason we are closer now that ever, it takes a great deal of work. Some challenges we face are finding a common ground for us all to stand on. Sometimes we have to agree to disagree. My ability to keep trying and try different approaches make me feel like I have what it takes to persevere in early childhood education. The relationships I deal with in everyday life is what make me ready to deal with many different obstacles pertaining to relationships.
